Born in Montreal and raised in the Eastern Townships of Quebec Kevin started out playing the keyboards at 14 but switched to guitar at 16. A decision that was made entirely due to his love for the music of Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Winter, Frank Marino and Stevie Ray Vaughan.

His passion for blues rock guitar has continued unabated for 30 plus years giving him the opportunity to perform across Canada, into the US and Europe. Sharing stages with established artists such as PowderBlues Band, Brian Lee, Colin James and the late great Jeff Healey. Kevin has had the pleasure to play and sing with some of the finest musicians around in various formations such as “Blue Fuse”(based in Vancouver), “NoStress” and recording original material with his long-standing project “KGB”(Kevin Groves Band). The most recent cd “SOW THE WIND” was nominated for best album in the LYS BLUES AWARDS. “King of the Thing” offers a new opportunity for old friends to reconnect and make some killer music together.
